東洋エンタープライズ社(Toyo Enterprises)のミリタリーレーベル「Buzz Rickson バズリクソン」のA-2デッキジャケット(メンズ ミリタリーシャツジャケット)です。

米海軍は1960年代前半、甲板作業用ジャケットN-1の改良版としてA-2デッキジャケットを採用しました。そのA-2デッキジャケットには表地に使用した素材がバックサテンと、ジャングルクロスの2種類が存在していました。最初期の1962年契約はバックサテンで、1964年契約のセカンドモデルのみがジャングルクロスを採用していました。二型共に胸のポケットフラップは三角形の形状が特徴で、これ以降に製造されたジャケットはポケットフラップが横に直線となって、素材もバックサテンに戻されました。本製品は、そのA-2デッキジャケットのジャングルクロスバージョンの復刻モデルです。

表地素材はコットン100%のジャングルクロス(コットングログラン)キャンバス生地です。高密度に織られ、無骨な雰囲気のある、強度に優れた頑丈でタフなしっかりとした重厚感のある生地です。ミリタリージャケットに使用された布地の素材は高密度が故に、摩擦による表情の変化が非常に魅力的でもあります。中でも顕著に表れやすいのがジャングルクロスで、この製品の生地表面にも白い筋状の跡/ホワイトマークが見受けられますが、経年変化の風合いも楽しめるこの生地の特性として予めごご了承ください。

身頃裏地と袖裏地は、ポリエステル70%・アクリル30%の混紡ボアで、保温性・防寒性が高められています。化学繊維のボアですので、天然素材ボアに比べて取り扱いがイージーな素材です。

フロントは、ジッパーと、その上をボタンで留める比翼(ストームフラップ)仕立てで、風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。ファスナーにはConmarジップが使用されています。ジッパーのスライダーにはコットンウェビングの紐が付けられ、バイクのグローブなどをしていても開閉がしやすくなるようにされています。

衿はボディと同素材のシャツカラータイプです。

左胸にはスナップボタン留めのフラップポケットが、ウエスト部分には手を入れやすいように斜めにカッティングされた片玉縁ハンドウォーマーポケットが設けられています。

袖口の内側には外気をより遮断できるようにウールリブが取り付けられています。

裾の両サイドには絞り調整用のバックルアジャスターが付けられています。

N-1デッキジャケットの後継モデルとして1964年に採用されたA-2デッキジャケット・ジャングルクロスバージョンの復刻製品で、シンプルなデザインと必要最低限の機能性を兼ね備えたモデルです。デザイン面・機能面共にで優れたジャケットでタウンユース用としても最適なジャケットです。

This product is made in Japan by Buzz Rickson, a brand renowned for its military-inspired clothing under Toyo Enterprises. It is a faithful reproduction of the iconic U.S. Navy A-2 Deck Jacket in jungle cloth outer shell version. Buzz Rickson has expertly recreated the jacket's vintage aesthetics and classic details, ensuring historical accuracy and nostalgic appeal with Buzz Rickson's craftsmanship for a timeless design with modern durability. In the early 1960s, the U.S. Navy introduced the A-2 Deck Jacket as a replacement for the N-1 deck jacket, specifically designed for deck operations. The A-2 Deck Jacket came in two fabric variations: one made from back satin and another from jungle cloth. The initial model in 1962 was crafted from back satin, while the second model in 1964 featured jungle cloth. This product is a reproduction of the 1964 version of the A-2 Deck Jacket in jungle cloth. This jacket is constructed with a 100% cotton corded-cotton jungle cloth canvas (also known as cotton grosgrain) outer shell and a 70% polyester and 30% acrylic blended synthetic fiber fur sherpa lining for the torso and sleeves. It also includes 100% wool rib-knit cuffs hidden inside the sleeve openings. The jacket features a zipper closure with a button-secured storm flap in front of the zipper to cover the zipper, a shirt-style fold-over collar, set-in sleeves, three front pockets (one single snap-flap pocket on the left chest and two single-welt hand-warmer pockets at the lower front section of the front), inset wool rib-knit cuffs attached to the inside of the sleeve openings, and adjustable buckle tabs on the sides at the bottom. Outer shell: Heavyweight corded-cotton jungle cloth (cotton grosgrain) fabric in Olive-Drab color. Made of 100% cotton jungle cloth canvas (cotton grosgrain) to precisely match USN specs that is heavy duty, high density and extremely durable. Grosgrain is a tightly woven fabric with the grain of the twill line running vertically on the face of the fabric like a bedford cord. This densely woven fabric also has a luxurious matte subtle luster to it. *This jacket has some white marks/spots/streaks on fabric. This isn't an error. Please note that this is a process to create a vintage feel and look.

Lining shell : 70% polyester and 30% acrylic blended synthetic fiber fur sherpa lining for torso and sleeves to retains heat and protect you from the cold. It is designed to mimic the look of natural materials. Faux versions are easier to clean and maintain. This lining provides great warmth to the wearer.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. Vintage-style Conmar zipper closure with button-front wind flap protector (storm flap) located in front of zipper closure. This design protects the wind from slipping through the front. A cotton-webbing pull tab on zipper for easy functioning with gloves. Buttons are urea 4-holes buttons.

Collar tyoe : Self-fabric collar designed in the style of a shirt.

Cuff type : The sleeve openings are lined with a inset rib to protect from the cold wind. 100% wool-knit cuffs hidden up inside the sleeve openings.

Storage : The jacket has three exterior pockets. One chest pocket with flap closures secured by snap-down button. Two external slanted single welt hand warmer pocket on the lower front section of the jacket.
