この製品はアメリカン・ニューシネマの傑作映画「TAXI DRIVER タクシードライバー」の劇中で、トラヴィス・ビックル(ロバート・デ・ニーロ)が着用していたジャケット(タイプ M-65 フィールドジャケット)の復刻商品です。

表地はコットン50%・ナイロン50%の混紡バックサテンです。高密度に織られたハリとコシのある頑強な生地です。生地表面には横線が入った様に見える、ムラ感・スラブ感のある独特の風合いのミリタリーらしい無骨な表情な生地です。

身頃裏地と袖裏地は、コットン50%・ナイロン50%の薄手生地です。インナーウェアとの摩擦を考慮した袖通しの良い薄地生地が使用されていますので、着脱しやすく、熱もこもりにくくレイヤードしやすいつくりになっています。

中綿なしのアウターなので、夏以外の年間を通して、幅広く着用できるアイテムです。

フロントはジップアップによる開閉式のファスナー仕様で、その上を6つの隠しスナップボタンで留める比翼(ストームフラップ)仕立てで、外気の侵入を防ぐと共にジッパーを保護するつくりになっています。ジッパーのスライダーには「T-McCOY」ロゴ刻印入りのスライダーが使用されています。

フロントジッパーの引き手部分(スライダー)には、グローブや手袋などをしていても、簡単に開閉が可能になるよう考慮された平紐コットンタブ引手が付けられています。

スタンドカラーにはジッパーが付き、中に簡易的なフードを内蔵しています。スタンドカラーにはオプションとしてより防寒性の高いフードを取り付けるためのボタンホールが開けられています(オプションのフードは付属していません)。スタンドカラーは折り返し衿に切り替え可能なコンバーチブルスタンドカラーです。

左衿にはベルクロ(マジックテープ)留めのチンストラップが装備されています。チンストラップは右衿のベルクロに留めることができます。チンストラップを使用する事により、防寒性が増すように設計されています。チンストラップを使用しないときには邪魔にならないように左衿のベルクロに留めておくことができます。

両胸と両ウエストには隠しスナップボタン付きの大型フラップポケットが備え付けられています。

肩のボタン留めエポーレット(エポレット)、腕を動き易くするための背中肩口のアクションプリーツ、服を密着させ体を動き易くするために内側に付けられた腰と裾のドローストリング(紐)、ジャングルの中で手の甲を守るための袖口のベルクロ留め折込み式フラップ、袖口開口調節用のベルクロアジャスタータブ等、M-65のデザイン性、機能性も再現されています。

また、ミリタリー感をプラスする縫い目のパッカリング(縫い目のシワ、縫い縮み)など雰囲気のある仕上がりになっています。

映画「タクシードライバー」で主人公・トラヴィス・ビックル着用のM-65がトイズマッコイにより徹底検証され復刻されたアイテムです。左腕の「キングコングカンパニー/Kin-ng Kong COMPANY」の刺繍ワッペンパッチ、右胸ポケット上部の米海兵隊武装偵部隊章(ジャンプウィングバッジインシグニア刺繍ワッペンパッチ)、取り外し可能なバランタイン議員のスローガン缶バッジなども再現されています。また左身頃内側に縫い付けられたラベルには劇中でシークレットサービスに語った偽名「Henry Krinkle」がタイプされています。

※M-65の内側には防寒用ライナーを固定するためのボタンがついており、ライナーを装着することで、より厳寒な環境に対応できるように設計されています。オリジナルのM-65にはオプションとしてボタンで着脱可能なライナーが附属していましたが、本製品の内側にはライナー用のボタンは復刻されていますが、ライナーは付属しておりませんことを予めご了承ください。

This military jacket is made in Japan and produced by TOYS McCOY. TOYS McCOY is a Japanese clothing brand established in 1996 by Hiroshi Okamoto, based in Tokyo, Japan. TOYS McCOY's products are introduced Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary elements into american classic and vintage clothing making. This item is a reproduction of the movie costume worn by Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle in the 1976 american film Taxi Driver. The construction pattern of this jacket is modeled after iconic M-65 field jacket (Generation II M65 2nd Model, second-generation). TOYS McCOY has reproduced the Jacket with all the correct features found on the Taxi Driver movie prop costume. This is replica jacket combining classic details with a modernize fit. The fabric of this jacket is made up of 2 layers. This jacket is constructed from 50% cotton and 50% nylon outer shell with 50% cotton and 50% nylon lightweight and smooth inner lining for easy-to-layer and will not overheat. And it features a front zipper closure with snap-buttoned storm flap over zipper, convertible stand-up collar with velcro closure throat latch, four exterior snap-flap pockets, buttoned epaulets, velcro adjustable cuffs, drawstring waist/bottom, and bi-swing back. Outer shell : 50% cotton and 50% nylon blended heavyweight satin-backed (back sateen) outer shell.

Lining shell : Inner lining in the body and sleeves are made of 50% cotton and 50% nylon blended lightweigt fabric. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Interlining (Type of insulation ) : No fill, No inside padding. This outerwear piece can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall seasons. Great for wearing mid-season or even in the winter with under layering.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure. Front Fastener. Silver coloured zipper with all-cotton zipper tape : The zipper is covered with a storm flap that fastens with snap buttons across the zipper. This design protects the wind from slipping through the front. A cotton pull tab on zipper for easy functioning with gloves.

Storage : The jacket has four exterior pockets. Two chest cargo pockets with flap closures secured by hidden snap-down buttons. And two large-sized exterior inside hanging pockets with flap closures secured by hidden snap-down buttons at the lower front section of the front.

Collar : The M-65 jacket is designed with a convertible collar that can be worn open or stand up to the neck for additional protection. A convertible stand-up collar with velcro closure throat latch (throat tab, neck strap, chin strap, throat latch) to make fastening easy with a velcro tape. Throat latch that, when fastened, will help throat something from entering the jacket neck area. You can also keep a neck strap in place with a neck strap keeper velcro at the left side collar, when you do not use a neck strap. This M-65 has a hidden hood in the zippered collar. The hood can be pulled out from the collar and rolled away into the collar.

Cuff type : Adjustable velcro tab cuffs. And the M-65 has hidden triangular velcro cuff designed to extend out and attach or cover gloves.

Pattern Type : Jump wings military patch on upper part of the right side chest pocket. King Kong Company military patch on the left sleeve. Detachable "We Are The People" campaign button pin badge.

Sleeve Style : Set-in sleeves.

Sleeve Length : Long sleeves.

Other details : Drawstring cords at inside bottom and waist to adjust the fit. Pleated shoulders (Bi-swing back) to allow for ease of movement and comfort. Shoulder epaulets with buttons. On the inside of the jacket there are buttons for attaching the insulating liner in cold weather, but liner is NOT INCLUDED in this product. The jacket collar incorporates four buttonholes for attachment of a hood, but an optional hood is NOT INCLUDED in this product.
