東洋エンタープライズ社(Toyo Enterprises)のTailor Toyo(テーラー東洋 テイラー東洋 港商 港商商会)ブランドのスペシャルエディション・スカジャン(メンズ スーベニアジャケット)です。

スーベニアジャケット、通称「スカジャン」は戦後間もない頃、日本に駐留していたアメリカ軍兵士の記念品として、鷲・虎・龍などのオリエンタルな柄や、兵士の所属していた部隊などをジャケットに刺繍したのが始まりです。その発祥に関わったのが、東洋エンタープライズの前身である港商(港商商会)です。「テーラー東洋」は1940年代の港商から始まり、1965年に設立された東洋エンタープライズのスカジャンレーベルして、その歴史と経験を継承し続けています。

この製品には、1940年代から1950年代にかけて、東洋エンタープライズの前身となる港商(港商商会)が制作したスーベニアジャケットの素材・縫製・ファスナーなどを当時のままに再現したボディが使用されています。一方でこのスカジャンの刺繍デザインは実在した柄ではなく、東洋エンタープライズによって新たに起こされた新柄です。2020年の東京と、東洋エンタープライズの設立年である1965年当時の東京の景色をリバーシブルの表裏にそれぞれ刺繍で配したオリジナル柄のスペシャルエディションモデルです。柄は新柄ですが、刺繍手法は1950年代の貴重なヴィンテージをもとに当時の横振り刺繍ならではの迫力のある厚み・刺繍部分の柔らかさ・刺繍のたわみまでも再現されています。これらのスカジャンの経年変化の魅力を再現して、ご購入時からヴィンテージさながらの風合いを楽しむことができるスカジャンに仕上げられています。

このスカジャンは、リバーシブル仕様で、表側・裏側の両面ともに総刺繍で柄が配されています。

素材は表裏両面共にアセテート100%のサテン生地です。シルクにような深みのあるマットな光沢感、ソフトな風合い、ドレープ感が特徴の生地です。

このスカジャンには1950年代の素材感を再現したアセテートサテンが使用されています。生地には、織りムラ、シワ感などのビンテージ感が再現されています。これらのスカジャンの経年変化の魅力を再現して、ご購入時からヴィンテージさながらの風合いを楽しむことができるスカジャンに仕上げられています。

衿と袖口と裾は、ウール100%のダブルレイヤー(二重)のライン入りのリブ生地で切り替えられています。

フロントはジップアップでの開閉式です。フロントファスナーの引手には東洋エンタープライズオリジナルの引手が使用されています。

刺繍は、1950年代初期の貴重なヴィンテージをもとに当時の横振り刺繍ならではの迫力のある厚み・刺繍部分の柔らかさ・刺繍のたわみまでもが再現されています。

This sukajan jacket is made in Japan and produced by Tailor Toyo from Toyo Enterprises. The Tailor Toyo label, a division of Toyo Enterprise in Japan, is famous around the world for its expertly-crafted authentic Japanese souvenir jackets. Starting out in the 1940s as Kosho & Co, an import and export business for clothing fabric, Toyo Enterprises was founded in 1965 at Tokyo, where it still has it's HQ today. And this product is made especially for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. Body pattern and fabric are a reproduction of the classic vintage Kosho & Co Japanese souvenir jacket. Whereas the graphics for embroidery is new original creations by Tailor Toyo and not reproductions of what once existed. The embroidery on this jacket is based on the views of Tokyo in 1965 and 2020. This item is outfitted with the original details of Tailor Toyo's brand in a contemporary approach. And this japanese souvenir jacket is originally intended to wear as a Modern Boxy Fit (A little extra room through the chest and body) with short in the body length for a more fashion-forward looks. This light piece of outerwear can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall.

Fully Reversible, front and reverse side are embroidered.

Outer shell (front side) and lining shell (reverse side) : 100% acetate. Made of lightweight, no stretch, faded satin. This item is weathered for the fashionable vintage feel and look. The fabric is produced with minimal tension and this satin offers a unique flowing drape, silky hand and sheen with a sophisticated wrinkles on the face of the fabric. Satin is a weave that has a glossy face and a soft, slippery texture. The satin fabric with sophisticated wrinkles and runs caused by pulls or snags gives it a true vintage feel. It is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Interlining (Type of insulation) : No fill, No inside padding. Lightweight outerwear, suitable for spring and fall seasons. There is no internal batting, so the jacket is not bulky or puffy. And this light piece of outerwear can be worn year-round, especially in spring and fall.

Storage : The front and reverse sides have slant double welt pockets reinforced with arrowhead reinforcement (triangular gusseted) on pocket edges. Double welt pockets with color-contrast.
