本製品は、ALPHA社の前身であるDOBBS INDUSTRIES社が1950年代後半に生産したMA-1を再現した復刻モデルです。ヴィンテージ感が漂うくすんだグレー色のフライトナイロンを使用して、当時のクラシックなディテールを踏襲しつつも、現代的なシルエット・縫製を取り入れ、街着として洗練されたファッショナブルなデザインに再構築されています。

シルエットは身幅に適度なゆとりを持たせて、着丈が短めに設定されたアメカジスタイルのボックスシルエット(ボクシーフィットスタイル)に設定され、スタイリッシュにご着用いただけますように仕上げられています。Tシャツなどのライトレイヤーからパーカーやスウェットなどのヘビーレイヤーまで、様々なレイヤリングに対応できる快適なサイジングです。

表地はナイロン100%のヘビーナイロンツイル生地です。しなやかで柔らかな肌触りと、深みのある光沢をもった、高級感あるナイロン生地です。

裏地は表地とは異なる表情を持った滑りのよいナイロン生地で、インナーウェアとの摩擦を考慮した袖通しの良い生地です。

表地と裏地の間にはウール53%/綿47%のシート状のウールコットン混紡中綿が詰められ、防寒性・保温性が高められています。

襟と袖口と裾部分はリブで切替えられています。袖口のリブは織りの組成をローゲージからハイゲージに変えることで程よいフィット感を生み出します。

フロントはファスナー開閉式です。ジッパーのスライダーにはレザータブが付けられ、バイクのグローブなどをしていても開閉がしやすくなるようにされています。

ジッパーの後にはジグザグステッチ入りの比翼(ストームフラップ)が付き、ジッパーから漏れた風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。比翼(ストームフラップ)にはアクセントとしてAlphaのワンポイントロゴ刺繍入りです。

左胸付近のジップ脇には、酸素マスクのホースをクリップで固定する目的のナイロン製オキシジェンタブが付けられています。両脇にはICSコードループが配されています。

ウエスト部分の斜めに口が開いたアウトスラッシュポケットは、スナップボタンが付けられモノが落ちにくいようになっています。

左袖のエマージェンシーキット(シガレットポケット＆ペンポケット)には着脱可能なアルファのリボン付きです。

両身頃裏左右には縦(サイド)に口が開いたスナップボタン付き内ポケットが設けられています。

This padded bomber jacket in nylon fabric with a rib collar is produced by Japanese casualwear brand EDWIN under a license from the American Alpha Industries and made in China. The construction pattern of this jacket is a reproduction of the Vintage MA-1 flight jackets (Bomber Jackets, Flying Jackets) made by Dobbs Industries, a predecessor to Alpha Industries. This plain MA1 jacket combines all those historical characteristics and details with a modernize fit for a more casual look and fashion purpose. This military aviator jacket is constructed of a nylon outer shell in faded-gray with wool/cotton pile insulation inner padded nylon lining shell for added warmth. And this solid color MA-1 jacket features a front zip closure with internal storm flap, two exterior snap-closure pockets, exterior utility pocket on left sleeve, two interior vertical-side-entry snap-closure pockets, knit rib collar/cuffs/waistband. Outer shell : Made of 100% flight nylon. Heavy nylon twill in faded-gray color. The nylon fabric of this MA-1 jacket is processed to recreate the look of faded color for a fashionable vintage feel. It is high density and extremely durable. This jacket deliver the perfect combination of durability and natural softness for comfort. This highly-prize nylon fabric of this jacket has a smooth and soft feel and deep hue with beautiful and sophisticated luster.

Lining shell for body and sleeves : Fully lined, 100% nylon twill lining. The lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Interlining (Type of insulation ) : Inside padding. The jacket is filled with 53% wool/47% cotton blend fiber fill sandwiched between the outer shell and inner shell lining to retains heat and protect you from the cold. Suitable for fall and winter.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure with internal storm flap. Storm flap has zig-zag stitching. Wind flap protector (storm flap) located behind zipper closure. Front fastener from the heavy-duty zipper with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. An internal storm flap with zig-zag stitching behind the zipper prevents the wind from slipping through the front. Embroidered Alpha brand logo on internal storm flap. A leather pull tab on zipper for easy functioning with gloves.

Storage : Two exterior slanted single welt snap-closure pockets lined with warm brushed fabric. Zippered cigarette pocket outfitted with four pen/pencil slots (utility pocket) with signature red "Remove Before Flight" flag on left sleeve. Zipper with leather pull tab on sleeve pocket. Two interior vertical-side-entry snap-closure pockets lined with cotton twill.

Cuff type : The two-ply knit rib cuffs with the narrow weave graduating into the wider weave at top.
